Help Support Hospice with Maire Claremont and "Lady Wild"

This is a charity novella for Hospice with a goal of raising $10,000 for donation.

Victorian England is about to go wild…

Lady Ophelia longs to be independent, daring and bold, but her mother’s illness has stolen the last of her creative fire. Condemned to an isolated country cottage after the death of her idealistic father, she and her mother are forsaken by family and all of society. Disappointed by those she once trusted, Lady Ophelia lovingly nurses her dying mother knowing that her own dreams of being an artist will never be realized. That is until she meets a devilish aristocrat who reawakens her desire to be wild.

Viscount Stark has never known love. Reputed to be a rebel and a rake by all, at heart he is anything but. When he meets Lady Ophelia, he is struck by her haunting presence, dignity, and honor. Will he continue to play his wicked games and risk ruining the last of Lady Ophelia’s wounded heart? Or will he dare to be the gentleman he always wanted to be and unveil a love he never thought possible?

Lady Ophelia Darlington has had everyone she loves fail her. He father died when she was young, her half brother abandoned her and her mother to a small cottage with no income and finally her mother was dying. While dying was not their choice, her parents were still either gone or leaving. In caring for her mother she has stopped dreaming and really living, she is existing.

Andrew Colton, Viscount Stark, has never known parental or familial love. He believes he is both incapable and unworthy of love. These are the feelings that have lead him to be very cynical. But a part of him yearns to be loved and to love another.

They met with her in a river experiencing some very dark and sad thoughts. He talks her out of the river and he escorts her home to meet her mother. Her mother, the Dowager Countess, sees the potential in Andrew and knows that he and Ophelia have the capacity to heal each other. As Andrew helps Ophelia start living again he discovers a purpose for his life. Together they learn to trust and to embrace love.

Ms. Claremont as captured all of the emotions, stresses, uncertainties, fears and tears of losing someone close to you and presented it with grace and empathy. She reminds us that life does go on and we need to honor those that have left us by living each day to the fullest with joy and love. The books should come with a banner stating---TISSUE ALERT! Having lost my parents it brought back the bitter-sweetness of saying goodbye and the hope that comes with love is priceless. I admire Ms. Claremont using this story to honor her parents and to help Hospice; I have gifted this book to several friends and family members.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
[Lisa]:
This is a book that touched my heart having been the caretaker for my own father and the need every caregiver has for help. Hospice is a wonderful organization, please help Maire reach her goal! Thanks!

[Mary]: I loved this book too - so please consider buying this not only because it's a great read, but also for the great cause!! :D

Author Bio’s
2011 Golden Heart winner Máire Claremont first fell in love with Mr. Rochester, not Mr. Darcy. Drawn to his dark snark, she longed to find a tortured hero of her own… until she realized the ramifications of Mr. Rochester locking his first wife up in his attic. Discovering the errors of her ways, Máire now looks for a real-life Darcy and creates deliciously dark heroes on the page. Oh, and she wants everyone to know her name is pronounced Moira. Her parents just had to give her an Irish Gaelic name.
