Feature & Follow Friday (#5) + Book Blogger Hop (#6)

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow

Feature and Follow Friday is a meme hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read

General rules to Feature & Follow Friday:

1. Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts and any one else you want to follow on the list
2. Follow our Featured Bloggers (This week is Rainy Dayz Reviewz)

3. Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"

4. If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers

This Week's Question: Are there any book to movie adaptations where you think the movie is better than the book?

The 2013 Great Gatsby movie perhaps? I thought it was really awesome, the cinematography, music, the whole ambiance of the film. It's a question mark because I never actually completed the book (Sparknotes and Wikipedia) so I can't confirm that. The thing is, I have a dreadful memory so I can't recall much in this regard. But to throw a few movies that I thought were well done and rival its book counterpart - The Life of Pi , the two Sherlock Holmes films, and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer

Now, for Book Blogger Hop

Q: Do you accept books for review only from publishers or do you accept book review requests from authors as well?

A: If by accepting books for review from publishers means requesting ARCS via Netgalley and Edelweiss, and yes, I do both. I like to read and feel incredibly honored that authors would contact me for reviews.  Sadly, I wish I have more time to read and review.

  9. I haven't seen the Great Gatsby because I was afraid it would ruin the book. I have heard great things though so I might actually watch it. :) I forgot about the Chronicles of Narnia, but you are right, the movies are much better than the books.

Thanks for stopping by my FF!

  10. I did enjoy the Chronicles of Narnia and the first Sherlock Holmes movie. Sometimes the movie can come close to the book for me, but they don't ever surpass it. Thanks for stopping by!

  11. I loved The Great Gatsby movie version, can't believe I forgot that one. I picked ones that were as good as. I did my post last night and then went to work today and thought of loads more, had to add them on - Life of Pi being one, such a beautiful film. My F&FF.

  12. I haven't seen the new Gatsby movie, but I want to. I didn't like the book when I read it in high school (Daisy annoyed me) and I'm interested to see what I think years later. Old follower.
