Waiting on Wednesday (#3)

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week an upcoming book I can’t wait to read is…

Romancing the Duke (Castles Ever After, #1)
Castles Ever After: Romancing the Duke by Tessa Dare
Publisher: Pocket Books
Publication date: January 28, 2014
Series: Castles Ever After #1
Summary (from author's website):
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As the daughter of a famed author, Isolde Ophelia Goodnight grew up on tales of brave knights and fair maidens.  She never doubted romance would be in her future, too.  The storybooks offered endless possibilities.
And as she grew older, Izzy crossed them off.  One by one by one.
Ugly duckling turned swan?
Abducted by handsome highwayman?
Rescued from drudgery by charming prince?
No, no, and… Heh.
Now Izzy’s given up yearning for romance. She’ll settle for a roof over her head.  What fairy tales are left over for an impoverished twenty-six year-old woman who’s never even been kissed?
This one.
I'm sure fans of historical romance have heard of Tessa Dare (unless you've been living under a rock >.<) and she is just a fantastic author. I LOVE her A Week to be Wicked and reviewed her Any Duchess Will Do (review here) so I just know this one will be equally fantastic. If Avon won't grant me an ARC on edelweiss, I am going to stay up all night (morning) to read this. Yup. (So please grant me an ARC, Avon!)
  7. Oh, I so agree with you, Mary. I LOVE Tessa Dare and think she is one of the best historical writers out there right now. Can't wait to see what she does with this new series.
